Ah the Ole play date line. And your wife willingly gave him her number. That’s a red flag brother

I thought this at first, but the dude who sent THAT text needs to have someone in his fricking face, and likely ratted out to his wife since he's a guaranteed cheating scum bag.

yes, she is a grown arse woman and can handle this, does not stop me from wanting to do something though...

Then, again, address him directly. None of that other business does anything but be passive aggressive and make it likely he tries to reach out to her again.

But I do think you need to have a conversation with her about shutting that shite down before it gets to that point. Once the inappropriate joke came, she should've responded (respectfully) in kind and like I said earlier ask that he pass her number along to his wife to set up the playdate (if she still wants to do that at this point).

Nah I would have to make as arse out of myself because I would confront him with a WTF? He plays it off, I would tell him , I don’t play that shite. Text her again and it’s gonna be a problem….so be it

Sorry, I was referring to the long one that is obviously a come on. The one about play dates is just a door opener.

If it doesn't affect you, who cares about he and his wife's business. She just needs to tell him to frick off and move on. She can likely never have to interact with this guy again.

Id put good money on everyone here saying to beat his arse or confront him is divorced at least once.

I just handled it in what I think is the best manner

I won’t confront him in person, nor will I take this to the pool board

I just texted him THIS -

quote:

Hey _____, DCBL here, ____'s dad from the pool - our kids will not be playing together and my wife gets all the massages she needs from me, leave her alone and PRAY that I do not take your text to the pool board - I hope we understand each other, thanks

if I don’t hear anything else, this is over, if not, well, all bets are off...

PUSSY

I honestly can't think of a more, not only vaginal, but cringe worthy response.

Your wife should have given him your number. Hell, my wife and I have a few pairs of mutual friend couples and we don't have the other sexes numbers, nothing good comes from it.

It's not a trust issue, it's just a temptation issue. Everyone is only human, so don't put yourself in a situation to be tempted.

A tad passive aggressive and threatening to go to the pool board is beyond lame.

You should have just walked up to him and said you appreciate that he thinks your wife is hot but to not text her shite like that.

A male got a female's number under the guise of something innocent so that he could shift the conversation to dick pics and sex soon after. Tale as old as time. A married man doesn't need a married woman's phone number who isn't a family member, neighbor, or family friend. Even family friend is pushing it because your wife should have her number. Your wife should be smarter. Unless she wants this.

Is this argument ever not garbage?

What if he was beating her? You can have a different line, but to eliminate the line altogether is ignorant.
