Not super familiar with the current there at the mouth of the Cooper, but could an incoming tide pushed his body up there if say he went over the railing at the battery?
Could the wake from an incoming/outgoing cargo ship have beached him there?

I want to hear about his phone records. My working theory is he was lured back out. The fiancee may be involved.

The Smiley Face Killer strikes again.

I knew a girl who passed out from drugs and booze and drowned in like a foot of water

Seems weird she would be involved. It would make more sense to marry him have him become a MD let him get a few years of salary under his belt then do it.

Not sure this link will work, but it looks like high tide was at 12:04 a.m. so if he went into the water around 3 a.m. it wouldn've been on the outgoing tide, meaning he would've needed to go into the Cooper River and not the Ashley which is nearer his place because he would've missed the island.

Outgoing tide, yes. And it is not far at all.

No, they pass on the other side of the island.
This guy got hammered and fell in the water and drowned.

I never thought of climbing into cistern on top of a shady hotel in los angeles while hammered, but that asian chick did it.

So this guy went home for a bit to, what? And then decided, I'm going to go back out even though nothing is really open and not go to the river close to my house, but go over and hang out on the other side of the peninsula?
I'm skeptical.
I'm skeptical.

Had to move away from downtown, everyone wants to pretend they’re in Southern Charm
Had a couple of them living in my building and the fabricated drama was
Anything is an excuse to drink in this town.
Really sad situation with this kid. The only area I’d feel unsafe walking around downtown at night would be a couple of blocks off Meeting St. in between E Bay St. That’s a no go zone.

Girlfriend and I walked through there on the way Bay St. Biergarten last fall. I caught some choice words from the gf.

Oktoberfest there was awesome though

This is the second white male in his 20s to wash up on an island off of Charleston in the past week. First guy went missing Saturday March 23, found washed up on James island Sunday March 24.
News article RE first body
This doctor kid went missing exactly a week later and found the same way (but on different island).

Or just a big insurance policy. No reason for a rational person to kill without a payoff, right?

Guessing maybe some homeless person bonked him on the head and took his stuff. Then, dropped him in the water.
Happens all the time

Not down here. There are very few homeless people. I've never found the ones that are here to be aggressive.

No. We had so many things planned our weekends were rarely open. Now have a buddy with a boat so we'll see how this summer goes. Also saving up to buy a place on the peninsula so considering the best place for my disposable income
