The man’s body was located outside a store on the 2500 block of Ella Boulevard, north of downtown Houston, shortly after 9 a.m., police said, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Sounds like a run of the mill suicide to me. And the article didn’t mention a race so I’m guessing white

Why would anyone go through the trouble of hanging a dead man?

Let’s hope so. Sad, but it’s the truth and everyone knows it.

apparent homicide

Can you imagine how difficult it would be to hang someone in the act of a homicide? How would you even go about it? Just trying to get my mind around the logistics, it would take about three men, and a pickup or a tractor. And the victim would have the be incapacitated in order to pull it off. Like unconscious, or bound hand and foot at a minimum.

It's impossible for one or two men to do to another man without some serious help.

Unless the guy was severely beaten before hanging I would consider suicide first. Unless it’s a likely cartel killing.
