Stolen goods or inventory that you're trying to unload are sold at a discount. Why would somebody pay more on the street if they can get it cheaper at an actual store?

Probably had an actual value of about 10k...if that. The markups on jewelery is insanely high.

I would have held onto the extras for a while to see if the store actually noticed. After a decent amount of time went by, I’m getting money for it.

Manager still seems suspect. That seems like the kind of thing you hop on a plane for and personally ensure that the merchandise is returned to the company, not leave to a customer's word and some shipping company.

I would of return them. Had a bank teller give a extra $3200 one time. Didn't count the money package till I got home. One of my buddies ran that bank and I called him. He came and picked it up. He later told me it was a new teller and got nerves doing a big cash with draw. This happen at a drive up window.
