Where's the black eyes (no pun intended), busted lip, cauliflower ear, etc. that should have been administered after he was "chased down" by bystanders in the mall?

Seems like anytime a black victim is accosted by a white perpetrator it's called a "hate crime"...is this incident not a "hate crime"?

My guess is the man is mentally ill. Family and friends have been trying ot get help for him to no avail. Only in America.

Yesterday morning when I boarded the light rail(LRT) at MOA I was shocked at the number of homeless folks on the train. The MOA is the terminus for the light rail service so the train should have been cleared. They kept announcing get off the train if you don't have a valid ticket (buying a rail ticket is an honor system thing. They don't have turnstiles or check tickets). The blizzard conditions all week may have had something to do with this. Anyway, the reason I mention this is because the incident occurred very close to the LRT and that was the escape plan. The guy ran to the LRT unimpeded jumped on a train and blended in with the crowd.

The complete and utter violence that would begin from me if that guy would have done that to my son would get me in a tremendous amount of trouble.

If this happened to my kid, either me or that guy would also have gone off the balcony. He would have had to have thrown me off to keep me from killing him.

Back story? In case it turns out the kid was asking for it? In case the adult male was simply taking revenge on a 5 year old?
