In the minds of these people they are the good guys, the heroes, the standard of morality, therefore everything they do is good and moral. Murder, theft, assault, violence, pedophilia, it's all okay because they're the "good guys". Same thing as antifa excusing their own violence by saying "but we're fighting the fascists!"
