FYI Katrina was 17 years ago. So the Katrina evacuee kids are now 17+ years old. This looks like New Orleans style gang bullshite to me too.

Yes, because there a droves of eyeless former drug dealers wandering the streets of NOLA.

I'm sorry but as you noted Katrina was 17 years ago, BR can own this one. No need for your ignorant NOLA bashing.

Still. How was this hidden from the media for that long?

What makes you think it was hidden? The local media knows about this. They choose not to report it cause it will make the politicians by whom they are bought and paid for look bad.

My ex gf’s father was the pastor at cedar crest baptist back in the 90’s. Seemed like a decent neighborhood back then

That area started to decline in the mid to late 90s.

Gangland violence around the drug trade is somehow NEW in your little cozy world? What in the actual frick rock have you been living under for hundreds of years?

I probably lived in his old house. My father purchased his house from a pastor. I’d be willing to bet it was the same guy. I lived back there on Ellsworth when I was in high school. It was a great neighborhood.

If you leave that neighborhood going north, the house on the corner had ditches out front AND a really good looking girl lived in that house. She just happened to be washing her car in her bikini while I was driving by. I promptly ran my car into the ditch in front of her house. It was a bit embarrassing having to ask to use her phone to call a tow truck. She invited me inside and I got to meet her two other sisters and her dad.

It was incredibly embarrassing. Everyone knew exactly what happened including her dad. If I were cooler, I would have asked her out. I just wanted to get out of there…

Jim & Lou’s off of North Acadian by Choctaw. White boys wouldn’t last long in that area on Friday/Saturday night in todays time.

Glad you’re ok. I always think the worst when there’s crime in that area.

We could drink at The Silver Moon in Central as long as you didn't look 12 but you had to pay bar prices which we rarely had money for. We were on more of a $7 case of The Beast budget

Absolutely!! And that shite would get so hot because we took too long to drink it and we rarely bothered with an ice chest.

Edit: good times though!!

There is no such thing as a whole-eye transplant. The optic nerve, which goes directly to the brain, cannot be transplanted; and this nerve is damaged for many people who are blind. The eye transplant would not work without also transplanting the optic nerve.

It even wasn’t that bad like 5-8 years ago - my kids had some friends that lived over there
