Ooof... Just making sure, this isn't in St George, right? Eye gouging needs to stay over in BR.

Sounds like he was targeted specifically.

The father admitted that his son “was no saint.”

Still. How was this hidden from the media for that long?

The victim has no eyes now. His family is trying to speak with ophthalmologists to see if his vision can be restored at all.

“He was kicked in the face and then they pulled his eyes out,” said the dad. “I don’t know any of the details why this person(s) chose to do it. It takes a really mean individual to take and gouge someone’s eyes out. An arse-whipping is one thing but this, this takes a very mean individual. It was unbelievable that something like this could happen. I was in disbelief. I didn’t believe what I was hearing. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in my life and I’ve been through things but nothing this severe.”

quote:

The father admitted that his son “was no saint.” He added the area this happened in is near a problematic area that’s known for drugs and prostitution. However, the father was not aware whether his son was involved in anything or not. Regardless though, he said no one deserves to have their eyes gouged out.

Can a blind person get an eye transplant and see again?
There is no such thing as a whole-eye transplant. The optic nerve, which goes directly to the brain, cannot be transplanted; and this nerve is damaged for many people who are blind. The eye transplant would not work without also transplanting the optic nerve.

So the perps probably knew him, and were involved with whatever he was doing. And of course he's not talking.

FYI Katrina was 17 years ago. So the Katrina evacuee kids are now 17+ years old. This looks like New Orleans style gang bullshite to me too.

If your eye offend thee, pluck it out.

I wonder who he offended.
