quote:

An Alabama man is suing Delta Air Lines and one of its passengers after getting mauled by an emotional-support dog on a flight in 2017.

The attack was so severe that Marlin Jackson suffered "extensive facial damage," including lacerations to his nose and mouth, and bled so profusely "that the entire row of seats had to be removed from the airplane," according to the suit, which was filed Friday in Georgia's State Court of Fulton County.

quote:

Jackson asked Mundy if the dog would bite and Mundy assured him the animal was safe. As Jackson buckled his seat belt, the dog started to growl and shift in Mundy's lap, according to the lawsuit. Jackson again asked if the dog was safe, and Mundy said it was.

Without warning, the dog lunged at Jackson, biting him several times in the face and pinning him against the window, the suit states.

quote:

Jackson required 28 stitches and lost sensation in parts of his face, the suit states. He also experiences "emotional distress and mental anguish" from the attack. Jackson is seeking damages in an amount to be determined by the court.

All emotional support animals should be banned, as well as anyone that attempts to request their presence.

Good.

Emotional support animals are a bullshite scam by assholes who want to inconvenience others in order to save money.

They need to be banned in their entirety.

Hopefully this guy takes that dog owner to the woodshed.

Nobody needs an emotional support animal, or at least on a flight. It’s beyond ridiculous. I’m sure the owner just bought a a red “emotional support animal” vest on Amazon so they could take their dog on trips.

I want to take one of these (Tibetan Mastiff) on a plane as my "emotional support dog."

Seems he knew what was about to happen. I'd have stood up and walked away.

Just a good puppy dog being a loyal servant to their Fur Parent. Case should be dismissed.

People are so wrapped up in their own entitlement. Who would WANT to fly with a pet?! I would be stressed and nervous the entire trip. I would never consider taking a pet on a plane.

Designated flights for people needed emotional support

Designated flights for people with young kids (4 and under)

Designated adults only flights

Everyone wins

Liz, dogs are greater than humans. I would rather fly on a plane full of puppies than crying emotional support babies.
