LINK

Note: the cop was likely completely wrong about the law which led to him pulling over the driver.

Another example of:

Cops can be pieces of shite and therefore, even though we support law enforcement in principle, we should be wary of expanding police power and/or excusing these kinds of actions by cops.

So did anything happen to the cop for this bullshite?

I don't blame the guy. You have to remember that in the climate we now live in, cops are collectively dumber now than they've literally ever been. You can choose to mix it up like this guy, and he'll likely beat the charge and make the cop look like a complete idiot (which this video has successfully done).

But holy shite. What a waste of time for this dude. Hopefully he sued the everliving frick out of these people.

Guy lost on the flashing light argument and had the signed registration charged dismissed. Cop was not reprimanded.

Cop wasn't reprimanded - true. However, if I were a cop (or any gov't official), I would dread waking up happy and my phone start chirping with texts from all my friends letting me know I'm on YouTube for some douchebaggery. Personally, I'd rather take the official reprimand and a few days off without pay, rather then live on in video infamy. That is the sort of thing that you could have to explain to a future employer. So indirectly, it's a form of justice.

Cops are largely power hungry pieces of shite that simply ping the working man and woman through bullshite traffic statutes the majority of their "career." News at 12.

Bitch, you put together a workout program for people that included beating on your nut sack like it owed you money. You have no room to talk.

I see your point. Personally, if I were subject to that treatment, I'm more interested in restitution than revenge.
