I saw a guy get arrested for eating a sub sandwich in ATL.
It was New Years Eve 1999 after the MS State/Clemson Peach Bowl. The MARTA stations had cops every where w Y2000K happen in less than an hour. Cop told drunk Clemson dude no food or drinks allowed in the MARTA station & instructed him to throw his sub in the trash. Drunk guy tried to stuff the whole sub in his mouth. Cop cuffed & stuffed drunk guy in his patrol car

Yeah my system led to this. Sure sure sure. Lets ignore the frickhead politicians who want to jail everyone for everything so they can get kickbacks from the for profit corporate prison system.
Those leeches DGAF about anything other than sucking up more money which means they WANT you to frick up and get stuck there. Who do you think lobbies hardest for all kinds of shite to get you put in the clink? Who do you think cuts every prison service down to the bone making prisons pure hell that do little more than create even worse criminals b/c again, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT FIXING THE PROBLEM. They want as many people trapped in their legal slave labor camps as possible. Open your damn eyes. Don't want to put the guy on highway cleanup or some other public service? Fine. Cane him and be done with it. Prison for throwing a sandwich? That's a massive overreaction and is far more likely to turn the guy into an actual dangerous criminal.
