Man armed with knives threatens to ‘kill white people, Donald Trump’

St. Martinville Police have arrested a man they say was armed with kitchen knives, looking for “white people to kill.”
The incident, according to police, happened on Wednesday, February 6, at Simmi’s Quick Stop on S Main Street. Arrested was Jessie Junior Patin of St. Martinville.
Police say Patin allegedly entered Simmi’s Quick Stop with his face covered, armed with two large kitchen knives. The 911 caller reported that Patin had stated that he was “looking around the store asking if there were any white people inside because he wanted to kill white people.”
Officers arrived on scene and after a short verbal negotiation, Patin dropped the knives. After a physical altercation, Patin was arrested.
St. Martinville Police say that after his arrest Patin stated, “I want to kill white people and Donald Trump.”
