frick covid got Hollister? Where am I going to shop at now?
You joke, but that's where I still buy my jeans
Losing them makes me sad.
I worked there and Abercrombie in college.

It isn't expensive like it used to be. Abercrombie and Hollister prided themselves on not having sales back when I worked there. Even on Black Friday, everything was full priced.
Now, they have sales all the time.

I’m 53 and own six pairs of Hollister khakis and several Hollister polos that I wear to work.

Good to see everyone learned from Pesticide's failures.

Mall of LA has been a zoo for years. May as well add an aquarium now.

I wish they'd go ahead and an a 70mm IMAX film screen as well since New Orleans gutted theirs.

Maybe I'm thinking of a different place. I returned some jeans for her that she bought with her own money a few months ago and they were like $75.
She can take her arse to Target when I'm paying

The blaring loud music at Abercrombie circa 2004 was overwhelming. Do they still do this? The Buckle did the same thing for years with loud music.

They still play music, but I don't think you can hear it out in the mall area like you used to.
Fallguy - The regular prices are high-ish, but everything is on sale so often that I assumed most people just wait for the sale to come back around in the next week or two
The jeans go on sale for $20 or $25 every other week.

Random memories. I remember when Mall of Louisiana first opened they had three shirtless Structure models standing outside of the door taking pictures with people

They had blaring music when I was in there a few months back. I'm pretty sure it was Hollister. The hipster, gay black guy that helped me exchange my daughter's jeans was very helpful though

The company has changed a lot since back then. They openly hired us based on how we look. You had to wear their clothes and it had to be navy, white, or grey. You couldn't wear their clothes in any sort of color. They allowed the brown items during the winter.
You had to wear flip flops every day, and you weren't allowed things like eye makeup. You had to give off the beachy vibe. When people walked in, even elderly old people shopping for their grandkids, your greeting had to be, "Hey, What's Up".
The jean wall was only reachable to size 5. The sizes past 5 were stored on a shelf way above it, so you had to go to the back and carry out a full sized ladder and they encouraged people to make a show of it so it would embarrass the customer. Largest size they went up to was 9. It's pretty terrible.
The front of house employees were called "models" and the back of house were called "impact".
Every few minutes, they had us spraying bottles of the cologne (mixed with water) around the store so it always smelled like it.

That mall was really nice when it first opened. I still don't find it to be too bad but I haven't been at night in probably 10 years.
I think it's just suffering much like most other malls with the decline of traditional brick and mortar retail.

All the exhibits will resemble this within a few months after opening.

You're too old to be shopping there Rize. It's PFG and Levi's time bud.
I haven’t shopped there since my late 20’s. I still have a few pairs of the jeans that I wear fishing or for work at the camp. I’ve been wearing BKE from Buckle for about 10 to 13 years. Can’t do the Levi’s

A while back we were in BR and stopped to get a cookie cake for kids b-day. First brought them to the big arcade place thing.
We got there early, by the time we left the line outside was a mad house. Go to the parking lot and there is a damn gang fight going on right by our vehicle.
Wife drops me off at the door to go get the cake....man mall of Louisiana has turned into a shite hole. I used to work there 15 years ago and was shocked what it has turned into.

The Domain is thriving in Austin. So, there’s that.
