you sound older than my dead grandmother if you actually like this nauseating design. This shite needs to stay at the bottom of the landfill where it belongs.

Now, fully agree the quality of the appliances far exceeds any of the crap made today.

I don't get the stainless cleaning issue. We've been in our house since '09 with all stainless and nary a scratch and with the exception of the fridge handle (my 20-something daughter must eat with her fingers is all i can think) or the D/W handle , it's always pretty clean.

My brother has a refrigerator in the garage for the kids to stock their Gatorade's, etc - The damn thing is at least 30 years old and running like brand new and he has never had a single problem with it (after being moved several times)

gas or induction, all other cook tops can get fricked

Has to be gas at our house. Induction doesn't work with Magnalite cookware, only with with ferrous metal cookware.

How to check: if a magnet does not stick to the cookware, it will not work on an induction cooktop.

Avocado green should make a comeback

I still have a late-70's avocado green fridge in my garage that the previous owners left. Still running like a champ.

Terrible floor plan.
You gotta squeeze through the opening between the fridge and oven to get to the table to eat.

Radio/intercom thing? WAY to early to be a microwave...

I believe that is radar range. Early form of microwave.
Had a radar range when I was a kid. I'd watch the food cook and grandma would yell at me to
" get away from that thing, its going to shrink your balls".
Fond memories.
