I’m banking on lafayette. It’s about 1/4 of a tank to get to Nola so worst case I’ll have a half tank when I get back there and won’t have to worry about BR or Nola gas on the way back.

Trying to go Dallas to thibodaux today… think I’ll have any road blocks after Laffy area? Should I just stick to Hwy 90 or should I take HWY 1 in port Allen down thru White Castle etc?

I'm in Ponchatoula heading north to Jackson's today. Someone told me I-55 northbound is closed. Can anyone check that for me please? Very limited cell service and can't open new tabs. If closed, can I go north on HWY 51 or another route?

From what I can tell online, 55 is open with a few slow spots from debris and/or trees. 51 has a couple closed spots along your route between Magnolia and McComb and just north of Bogue Chitto.

Last I heard that was the situation on 55 due to hazards on the road etc

I'm going from Metairie to Memphis. Can I get on I-55 from I-10 in Laplace? And is 55 open all the way to the stateline and through Mississippi?

According to WWLTV, 10 between NOLA and BR open to emergency vehicles only, but they’re not stopping anyone. Do with that what you wish.

I’m trying to get from Kenner to Plaquemine. I’m assuming the only route is 61 to Sorrento, and catch the Sunshine bridge. Is the Sunshine bridge open? Will I be able to get through Laplace on 61?

I live in Franklin and Hwy 90 from Laf to Thibodaux exit is open. My daughter has been traveling to Des Allemands to help out friends. Roads into Thibodaux should be open. I believe there may still be checkpoints but if you are from there it should not be a problem.

I-55 is closed from University Dr in Hammond to the MS State line per Fox 8 News.

Thank yall for the information on road conditions a s gas availability from Florida to Ponchatoula. Guess it's time to wash and repack my clothes and make the drive home. Gas is going to be the real issue getting home and while home.

I drove from Mandeville to Fairhope, AL yesterday afternoon. There are lots of gas stations open in Biloxi-Gulfport, MS. The first station I saw open after leaving Mandeville on I-12 was in Diamondhead, MS. Someone, did point out though that a station was open on Gause off I-10 in Slidell. I didn’t see any gas stations open along I-12 though.

Anyone know how i55 south is into New Orleans. Making the trip back today from Monroe for work tomorrow. According to the DOT website it looks open while only 55 N is closed.

Do not take hwy 90 east to Nola unless you have a truck. There is 1-2 feet of water in road near Des Allemands. Complete devastation around here

MSY Reporting all flights cancelled today however the cars in the garage are safe and can be picked up. Some operations may begin tomorrow and a return to a "normal" schedule is expected by end of week.
