I saw somewhere that US 61 was closed in a couple of different parts
According to the MSDOT and LADOT websites, US 61 is not closed. Trust me, i've been watching these damn websites all day trying to get 6 trucks back into Louisiana. I suggested US65 because I had two come down there earlier with no issues. Had one come down 425 and he said there were some spots with water.

Exit 1B on 20east is US 61 South. Yes, in Vicksburg.

Where do I exit off 20 east to get to 61 south? Vicksburg exit?
Yeah. I think it's Exit 1B.

OR
I-20 @ Rayville. Highway 425 South.
Highway 61 is not closed anywhere from the sites i've checked.
Why ya'll taking him all the way Vicksburg? That's an added 30 minutes.

I had a truck come down 425 earlier. Said there were spots with water over the road. Not bad enough to close, but I guess it could get worse. From all accounts 65 and 61 are relatively smooth sailing.

And go run some Ho's at Sundown West

MSDOT website has US 61 all the way into BR as good to go. I guess it could change by the time you get there, but as of now it looks like you're good to go.

Which one of the only 3 decent sized bars in Ruston changed its name to Sundown West? Rabbs, QStick, or what was a Mexican join next to Rabb's?
I'll guess the Mexican joint

Anybody been paying attention to the Red River/Atchafalaya's Miss. river flooding at Red River Landing near ORCS? RRL has gone up almost 3 feet in the last 2 days. 2 week forecast has it cresting at 49', but it's at 50.6' now.
Anyone have any good info?

driving Houston to Natchez tomorrow.
i-10 Lake Charles, 165 to Alexandria, then 28/85/425 to Natchez. Looks like all those routes are unaffected so far by floodwaters.
My question - do you expect waters to be receding in that part of the state between now and tomorrow afternoon or rising? I've never taken this route so I have no idea of he rivers, etc.
