I agree. James Spann has worked tirelessly to improve and educate Alabama. It has to feel like banging his head into a brick wall most of the time, but he is the one met I trust

Meet in the middle.
Thing is, the Euro is typically the most accurate model..

Euro AI now has consistently highest skill score and it’s not showing brutal cold at the moment

so long as you don't get stuck in Baltimore again huh?

Yeah, if that model were to come to fruition, from Louisiana to Virginia wouldn't move for over a week.
The north could handle this because snow blows.
Are there any cities in the South that have snow plows as a part of their inventory?
I think Birmingham mentioned getting some in 93, but if they did either they are outdated, rusted beyond use, or have been pawned off to some Yankee town.

I can feel a strategic stomach bug coming on already.

I highly doubt we do ECB - and if we did, it is nowhere what would be needed to cover everywhere - and the outlying places like Hoover, Bessemer, Pelham and the like would not have them.
out answer is throw sand on it and call it good lol

The latest EURO run has lost its mind with record breaking cold for south Louisiana. The EURO is usually the more dependable model. Either way, likely another artic blast will be here late next weekend.

Atlanta (GDOT)does have plows. They invested in them after The Snowpacalypse in '14.
I can't speak for anywhere else
ETA: They were used on Friday on the interstates and major surface streets

HAHAHAHAH no doubt - Baltimore is on my high list of airports I hated being stuck in - right up there with Memphis, Detroit and LaGuardia - I'm not a pilot, but i traveled 1/2 the year, every year for 26 years.

It is now but I doubt it’s accurate.

FYI, there are now multiple models showing potential for double digit snow fall in the southeast around Jan. 27th. Highly improbable, but fun speculation nonetheless.
It’s a running joke I have with my mom and my friends that the WSOP circuit event in tunica that’s always the week after MLK and goes to very early February each year there is always every single year a few days of ice/snow during it. You can count on it .

My kids are already doing the snow day dance for January 20. I told them there is a 95% chance that they will be greatly disappointed .
But then again, being inside on a snow day in south Louisiana would be excellent for watching the inauguration.
EDIT: I just remembered they will be off of school anyway for MLK Day. If it does snow, they've wasted a snow day.

Baltimore has some of the worst customer service in the country.
I’d argue DTW is one of the best airports in the country though, at least for the Delta terminal.

Tell them to start flushing ice down the toilet.
That might increase the chances of a sneaurmageddon next week. I saw a teacher/administrator Facebook comedian show the steps.

We need some ice and snow in northeast Louisiana. I bought a backup generator and I have not gotten a chance to use it yet.

Friendly reminder that if the Euro had it's way there would be 17" of snow on the ground in Atlanta right now.

LaGuardia has grown on me a bit since they renovated it

Never had many issues at Detroit - inside the airport is pretty nice these days.
My least favorite has always been Newark. If I never see that place again I’ll be happy.
