What's going to happen to all of the millions of square feet of retail space in this country that are going to be vacant in the next decade because of the internet? What a world.

Great question. The world has changed at lot in the last 25 years. In another 25, it may be unrecognizable.

Two observations:

1. I bet at some point someone "demands" they keep it open. Every time I see something like this, some special interest group thinks they can tell a private business what to do.

2. You are the absolute King of blind links. Why?

I see a Flood Warning in Tangipahoa County, though.

I was shocked they ever reopened it, and Paul, you need to get better at making topics. Don't just give blind links. Put a subject in there or something. C'mon man.

at least it's not just me noticing this.

That location of Macy's has always seemed like a loser and it was shocking to open it back up after they opened a Macy's at Lakeside.

There are other department stores, but now Esplanade has three empty anchors and a Target, I think even Cortana is better off.

It's about to get a makeover. All the stores are going to get flipped around to face the outside.

Foot action used to be the only reason to go into Kenner. Now, nothing. What a shite hole

If Esplanade wants to survive, the answer is simple, make it an outlet mall or put stores people will come there for. Look at Lakeside, they have the only Apple Store in the area. That place alone brings droves of people to Lakeside.
