Till the day you hit gravel and slide a bit while the asphalt removes the skin on your back. Several hours in the ER getting debris taken out with tweezes, a sort of Brillo pad, and a toothbrush is an experience - especially as you get no pain killer - again in this life.
As a reminder I have large areas around each shoulder blade that still turn purple when out in the sun with no shirt. That happened maybe 40 years ago when I rode a bike.
I may sound like your grandpa, but take care of you now so you will be less broken up when you get to my age.
