No leftovers, did you guys hit the lottery?

Henry Earl was the local James Brown because he danced like him. Spent time with him in the old days. Never had a problem with him. Ronnie did us no favors after elected when he shuttered long term locked mental health facilities and the resulting "mental health care by police" has been a miserable failure from an economic and human standpoint.

Where else would a Hobo do his laundry?!
I am in between homes now and won't be officially up in Monterey for 2 more weeks. My mom's house I'm at, which is for sale, has no laundry. She took the washer with her to her new place.
$3.00 to wash.
0.25 cents for 6 minutes to dry.
It's so gross. I dropped a pair of panties on the floor straight from the dryer and just threw them in the trash. I didn't want them after that!

That is a great question, I'd love to know! We need HoboCatLady to come up in here and give us the news.

In the creek (allegedly)

If you are stuck in the laundromat, pro tip:
Make sure the manager cleans the lint trap before you run the dryer. The more lint they let go, the longer to dry, the more you pay, the more they make.

They had the same effect on women of all ages.
Bill had this effect as well in politics.

Sporting those sexy wrists after he turned the car over, did he?
Tell him to drop the coin and get a driver and let him get TW home.

Neat story, CheeseG... even though he had the bad fortune of mental health via police, it seems he was well loved by the community.

Leftovers are not a financial decision. They are a batch cooking not standing at the stove every night decision.
But we had burgers for dinner and I forgot we had leftover burgers for dinner tonight
TIL that a compounded prescription for cromolyn that costs $200 also combats histamine (for the poster talking about leftovers/histamine yesterday). Just saw my test results from last year amd my histamine was not high. Don't have the results back for this year yet.

Central Kentucky historically attracted the most eccentric folks in the South until Ronnie took office in 1980. Sadly, the younger set and the yuppies of the era were not so nice to him and he did have an anger streak when self medicating and under attack.
I think "mental health care by law enforcement" is no good as this part of the human population are often abused and turn hard in the penal system. Saw the effect firsthand on him. Before Ronnie, we had Eastern State. Had an old baw there that we would check out to go caving when in Kentucky. He was like the idiot savant of caving and building motorcycles but could not survive on the outside and allowed to self medicate.
This cat was famous back in the day, and well protected by the community and cops. Imagine being a black tran in the South before the Civil Rights movement. Sweets. Knew them personally and a kinder person to others I would be hard pressed to know. If Sweets cared for you at the hospital or in life, you be hard pressed not to have your heart softened in the process. Tho extremely fiscally conservative, when it comes to the human condition, I will trust Jesus over being hard edged with others.

It is OK you live to serve the kitties!
PS, I know about batch cooking but at my age I cook in the pot and eat from it in single meals. At this point, not like I buy green bananas anymore. I am a fan of bear and squirrel for being such good parents / slaves to OC and the New Kid.

Kitties food and doc appts are costing more than mine right now cheesy! I have the personal email of my doc and OC's vet. That's normal right?
Posted on 4/15/26 at 6:27 pm to madamsquirrel
I do not have personal cell and email of my doctors, at best I have the personal cell and email of their gatekeepers, most times, not even that.
I have personal email, home address, and cell for my vet. Everybody in that shop knows how to reach me. Local pet stores, adoption joints, emergency vet hospitals, etc give me personal service and know me pretty well.
To me it is ...
ER vists last year ran 2K to 4K, will surpass that this year. My vet gets more than my doctors get total in a year from me. Spend way more for hound meds than I spend on myself. Possibly same with kibble as at least one hound is restricted to prescribed kibble only, and not cheap.
Guessing I have not bought new clothes (except socks, boxers, and t shirts) since pre c19. My newest vehicle is maybe 2006? I live the hobo life, the hounds live like royalty. I am a male "cat lady" with dogs.
It may not be normal, but I lubs, lubs, lubs my rescue hounds.
