The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is the target of a complaint filed by a national animal rights group claiming the school may have violated the federal Animal Welfare Act by purchasing dogs from an unlicensed Baton Rouge shelter for use in lethal anatomy courses and possibly other experimental purposes.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were pitbulls.

So the vet school might kill shelter animals like PETA does?

Was PETA upset that they didn't get to kill all those animals?

Not surprised. The LSU vet school does not care about animals. Your pets are nothing more than lab rats to them.

Okay first of all PETA is an evil/insane organization.

HOWEVER, you know what they say about broken clocks and blind squirrels.

If the report is factual, regardless of the source, there should be major repercussions for such abhorrent behavior.

I doubt this is true. Dr David Baker is the director of lab animal medicine at the Vet School and he is a real stickler for following all guidelines regarding lab animals including the sourcing of said animals.

Knowing what I know about how stringent IACUC regulations are for fish, this has to be absolutely fake news.
