Researchers at LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine are working to stop it.

“It’s highly likely that what we are producing will be quite protective against COVID-19,” Gus Kousoulas, PhD, head of the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at LSU said.

Kousoulas said the department’s primary focus is infectious diseases. He added they have already isolated the major genes of the Coronavirus.

Kousoulas said “They are ready to be sent to the Tulane primate center as well as other sites throughout the state to be tested.”

Can you imagine the meltdown of the elites if the silver bullet vaccine came out of the LSU Vet School?

I don't know why anyone would melt down. I think every single bastard would like a vaccine right now. Well except for the anti-vaxxers and they can go to hell

Hmm, I want to think I've heard the same story from UAB here in my backyard.

From a distance (from LSU), I suspect this is a nationwide race to be the first to declare "we're working on the vaccine", and thus garner publicity... and yes, funding.

From a bit of searching: They're all working on it.

Is that one of those Kousoulas boys from down around Galliano?

He is kind of like the Joe Burreaux of the biomedical engineering world. Also, his dept. is NIH funded.
