Buildings in warm climates that don’t have a/c are typically designed to allow air flow. I find that current insulation methods make buildings very stuffy when the a/c is off.

I also suspect that standards for comfort levels are somewhat relative. Meaning that if you typically did not live or work in air conditioning then a warmer ambient air temperature wouldn’t be as bothersome. My grandfather grew up without a/c and keeps his thermostat set near 80 F in the summer.

No one will have witnessed such a spectacle as sweatier sluts than those whom frequent the quadrangle on a day of studious academic activity.

Yea but nobody wants them to sweat. Everyone would be wearing face masks around campus.

Next week it is supposed to be in the 70s. Better now than 3 months from now.

Water for the AC is cooled by those large cooling towers by the stadium
As disgusting as the water looked running through that thing, there were hot enough days waking by where I wanted to rip my clothes off and stand under that tempting shower of wind and water.

I would say they could lower the dress code but then everyone would just be nude and instead of as they are now, almost nude

I lived in Pentagon Dorm one semester. First floor, loved it.

But, maintenance decided winter was the time to replace the insulation from the basement boiler room fueling the steam radiators. The floor got so hot, you couldn't touch it with bare feet. The showers were so hot, there was no such thing as cool water and showers were impossible.

We had our window units running non-stop to make it breathable, and got permission to shower at Kirby-Smith. They finally came in and cut the locks on our bolted windows so we could vent winter air outside to cope with the heat.

That's the kind of nonsense I remember about my time at LSU.

Pussies - when I attended LSU in the 50s and 60s the only air conditioned building was the one housing the giant IBM 1620 computer.

Hell, they still had some un-air conditioned dorms when I was there in the early 90s. Not to mention the old Gym Armory, where I played plenty of pick up games.
