Right.
Problem being, this professor with an open and gleeful hostility towards the first amendment likely will not face any significant punishment, and at least two other professors have expressed their sympathetic opinion.
Mann probably has tenure, too.
It sure would be funny if you can't fire a tenured prof for using their 1A rights to say they're going to flunk a student who used his 1A rights.

As a professor, publicly stating that you intend to academically harm any student that you, personally, do not agree with essentially undermines any grade you will ever give for the rest of your teaching career. It can put at risk the accreditation of your employer, the university, and opens it up to future litigation. It can give parents of future students, future innocent students, pause and legitimate concern about whether the university is a good fit for their child.
If they allow this to pass without some form of public discipline for the professor(s), it can very well do irreparable damage to the university.

IMO, this is a pretty good opportunity for LSU admin to give ALL faculty an update on what is and what is not protected speech.

That site is a mess. Back when I was on there an admin who had “recovered” from being gay and was loudly homophobic told me several times over a few years to kill myself. He later killed himself.

I have also learned from Twitter that if they can't beat you, they tell you to go play or to "stay out of it because it doesn't concern you."

I haven't read through this whole thread so I was wondering where that claim came from. Chicken and the mods usually don't put up with doxxing that I've seen. Those threads usually get whacked pretty quick.
