Buchanan was fired even though a committee of five faculty members that presided over an 11-hour dismissal review hearing held on March 9 recommended that she keep her job.

While the committee found that her adult language and humor violated university policies that protect students and employees from sexual harassment, it found no evidence Buchanan’s comments were “systematically directed at any individual.”

The committee recommended she be censured and agree to quit using “potentially offensive language and jokes” that some found offensive.

The committee also faulted the university for failing to have the chair of Buchanan’s department work to resolve her behavior prior to having the Human Resources Office investigate.

LSU President and Chancellor F. King Alexander rejected the faculty committee’s recommendation that Buchanan be censured and instead urged the LSU Board of Supervisors to dismiss her.

In an April 2 letter to Buchanan, Alexander pointed to the committee’s finding that she had engaged in sexual harassment but didn’t mention that the committee had recommended censure, not termination.

The chancellor also cited an allegation that Buchanan had violated a student’s rights under the federal Americans With Disabilities Act, an allegation the committee had rejected as “not substantiated by testimony.”

She might be dismissed, but she is going to get paid. LSU is going to have to prove that she sexually harassed an individual.

My wife had her. She was insane according to her and would say some very inappropriate things.

Given that she sexually harassex or berated every married student in her courses... Not that hard.

A professor never has the right to comment on the elasticity of her students' vaginas.

I agree with her. But wonder if she would use the same "use of sexual comments isn't sexual harassment" line in defending men.

Y'all are missing the point that she taught school teachers. They have all summer to mobilize on FaceBook and make LSU \ Alexander out to be the devil. They might even get a march or picket line out of this. LSU will cave and pay this chick when that shite starts. They are already in the Advocate comments section saying what an incredible educator she was. Should have fired her during the school year.

BTW, anyone else notice she hasn't taught a class since 2013 and yet has $0 in savings to hire an attorney to fight this. Seems like you might start putting away some reserve cash when you see this coming at you.

This will not happen. We all hated her, except for the girls who were man haters if you know what I mean. She needed to go.
Furthermore, the faculty committee recommended that she not be terminated. That doesn't mean shite. That commit is a dog and pony show. Why would they want to get rid of one of their own? I am glad that b$&@h is no longer teaching at LSU.
FWIW: Some liberal university will snap her up.

Wow I honestly thought it would take a lot more to fire a tenured professor. I mean shite professor Mulcahy got away with much worse than this. He snuck in someone's house, groped them and then shite on himself and got arrested twice, yet he kept his job. I told this story a few months ago, but he once said in class "You know Americans are so odd. There's this huge stigma around pedophilia for some reason." He then got real quiet and blurted out "You know it's against my policy and LSU's to record me in class without my knowledge." Strange, strange guy.

Obviously this fired teacher is biased against short height and small dicks. If she would have married a short person with a small dick her pussy wouldn't have gotten loose and she would still be married with a job

The concept of tenure if ridiculous and has no place in any job/career field. If you or your work product is sub-standard, or you violate policy and/or law, then you get shown the door, no matter who you are or how long you've been with the organization.

Is she pissed because her husband traded her for a newer sportier model with better handling and wet traction?
