Oh Oh here we go into the "Race Portal"

I agree.
The problem is that the black voices willing to engage in a dialogue with other races are being drowned out by the black voices saying whitey is the debil. They're called sellouts or worse.
The ultimate issue, to me, is that there are folks on both sides of the issue that make money fomenting racial discord. Until that possibility is eliminated, I have a hard time believing the problem will move towards a meaningful solution.

Here is my issue with this. Yes I think it is reprehensible what the student said, and he may not be one that I would want to be friends with.
But how exactly do you quality hate speech? Is the the student saying the words "I hate", or is it the N-word. Or is it a combination of both simultaneously.
We know a black student will never get in trouble for saying the N word. But what about an Asian student, a Hispanic student, or maybe a mixed race student who is half black half white.
To go in a different direction, if hate speech is defined by the words "I hate", absolutely no one(outside of like 3 poliboard posters maybe) will ever have a problem with someone saying "I hate Nazis". 99% of Americans today would agree with that sentiment. But could that be defined as hate speech, technically? Or what if a football player states that he hates fat bitches. Sounds like hate speech to me. Or what if a sorority girl states "I hate men because they are all selfish egotistical dicks and assholes. Is that considered hate speech.
To go even further, if a white guy states that "I don't like black women. They're ugly and their pussy stinks," People would more than likely say that is hate speech that should be dealt with. On the very opposite side, what if a black guy says "I don't like white women, they're ugly and their pussy stinks".

quote:I am empathetic. It’s honestly sad how easily manipulated people are.
Why can’t people just listen and be sympathetic, have some empathy?
You want some empathy? Give me something to be empathetic about. Don’t tell me you’re dying at police hands because of the color of your skin and then can’t produce any facts that support that. Don’t tell me it’s my fault and the systems fault that you’re poor and “hunted.” Not when every piece of data suggests otherwise.
If you actually want to find solutions to problems, you have to be honest about the problem and the cause of it. All this empathy and sympathy bullshite gets us nowhere.
Here are some facts supported by multiple studies:
Blacks are 3.8 times more likely to commit a violent crime but only 2.8 times more likely to be killed by a cop vs population alone. So while they have many more interactions with police due to their own actions, they actually less likely to be killed on a per-interaction basis.
Of all the blacks killed in 2017, there was just a 6% chance they’d be killed by a cop and an 89% chance they’d be killed by another black. For whites killed in 2017, there was an 11% chance they were killed by a cop, and an 80% chance they were killed by another white. In other words, again, whites are more likely to die from a cop than a black person is.
Finally, let’s talk solutions. Most violence and criminality and death correlates to poverty NOT race. And poverty and single parent households go hand in hand. “ Do racists care whether someone black is married or unmarried? If not, then why do married blacks escape poverty so much more often than other blacks, if racism is the main reason for black poverty?” - Thomas Sowell. 77% of blacks are raised in single parent households. That’s an insane number. Want to escape poverty and overcome “systemic” racism? It seems all someone needs to do is graduate high school and avoid having kids before you’re married. Imagine that.

Do most of you just believe it’s a bunch of bullshite?
It is. Get your asses up and marching for the dozens of black children injured and killed by stray bullets so far this year. Don't preach about anything to anyone until you start fixing the cancer in your own neighborhoods and culture.

Excellent post.

Our pal, Vidic, is not interested in addressing facts or data. He just wants to be a good woke ally and tell us how bad we are for being white.

LSU released tweet saying that is horrible but they have some limits due to free speech
I just reread the OP and this stuck out too me more this time.
How the f do you throw limits on free speech? If you're limiting free speech it's no longer free speech.

I recommend we listen to other people.

We’re starting by addressing the cop brutality issues.
No...you're starting by protesting/rioting/looting over one incident with one black man and cops of different races.
quote:
useless stats about black on black crime?
Because if black lives truly do matter, then this issue must be addressed. If you really mean is "black lives matter when taken by a white cop," then change your name and your slogan.
quote:
Does that excuse cops being able to kill and batter black people?
NO ONE has excused what Chauvin has done. The guy is a piece of crap and deserves all the crap coming his way. As do the others involved who did nothing.
In fact, this particular incident probably had a good 98% of all people united against Chauvin and behind Floyd. The outcome of the "protests" is rioting, looting, businesses damaged and lost and other lives damaged and lost. You don't get to claim the moral high ground when doing to others what you are protesting being done to yourself.

Because you don't recommend we listen to other people. The gist of your posts has been that WHITE people need to listen to BLACK people. That there should be no discourse; there should only be listening. There should be no questioning; only listening. There should be no rebuttal; only listening.
Pretty sure that's a lecture not a conversation.

Vidic is a bad faith coward. He is only here to lecture us as a woke ally.
He will not engage with the facts posted or reality in general. He will just respond with more platitudes and bullshite.

You mean like the "Believe All Women" movement that showed so many women to be liars with something to gain?
Black people LIE about racism all the time, sorry if it bothers you that many white people are waking up to the GAME.

BLM Demands from the Poliboard
Looks like BLM is demanding a union with insurance and childcare for sex workers.
