okay You mean the 60 days in parish prison for probation violation?

Most positively contributing citizens don’t have a probation, and have never seen the inside of a prison

I don’t know the law.
Unlike almost every other backwards-arse authoritarian country in the world, the US does not have hate speech laws, and never will.

We have this thing called the 1st Amendment.

Even without federal dollars, they are a state school. Kid is completely covered by the first amendment. Kicking him out of school would let the kid collect a nice fat check from LSU for violating a constitutional right. LSU's best bet is to convince him to go somewhere else and let other groups attempt to do it. That's usually what happens when students do stupid shite like this because the school can't do shite about it. Tennessee had that incoming cheerleader that bailed on attending just recently for the same shite.
frick that, that’s the pussy way out.

Like others have said, you let the kid in school and let him redeem himself.

You actually think if it were a black kid that was in his shoes, that the university wouldn’t be telling everyone to forgive and forget?

Jesus people, he didn’t kill or rape someone. Give the kid a fricking break.

And I would be saying the same damn thing if it were a black kid.

I think all the black athletes should quit the teams and transfer. I bet lsu would find a reason then to deny his application! I bet most of you won’t try to defend his freedom of speech then!
Man, frick you!

You think LSU football is more important than our right to free speech?

I can live without LSU football.

It always blows my mind people excuse racism as being a “dumb kid” you know where that “dumb kid” learned his racist ways? His parents. His community. Maybe we should stop excusing dumb kids and maybe people won’t be as willing to teach their kids racism
You're a fricking retard.

Maybe he learned it from hearing it in every rap song he listens to, or a dozen times a day spoken by his black classmates.

We’re starting by addressing the cop brutality issues. So why do you keep in deflecting from that and bringing up useless stats about black on black crime? Does that excuse cops being able to kill and batter black people?
Okay you fricking idiot.

There were about 7,000 blacks murdered last year by other blacks.

There were less than a dozen unarmed blacks killed by the police last year.

What would you consider a bigger problem?

That's up to individual people on how they want to treat him, he has to deal with the consequences of his speech with each person individually. It's none of my business how people decide to deal with him. He made his bed.

LSU not abiding by the first amendment is more troubling to me than stupid kid being a piece of sh*t.
