Daughter graduated LSU with a kenesiology degree but got a job at a major wealth management firm in a large California city and is making low six figures 5 years out of school.

Finance with skills in Sales will net you big money. Can you bring in clients with your winning personality and hustle?
Finance with sales skills for mortgage broker and insurance or banker. Good starting jobs to build contacts to be a wealth manager wanna be.
CPA skills if you want to be CFO, CEO. Someone who understands the numbers and can make deals or manage people.
CPA/Audit if you want to be introvert and love numbers and don't mind the hours.

Went to trade school. Been making 6 figures since 2010. Average working about 30 hours a week. I’m in the SAP world.

I did accounting and the workload was probably the biggest thing to get used to. Some classes were pretty straightforward, but others could take a lot of time once you had several assignments and projects due around the same time. I ended up using https://mysupergeek.com/accounting-assignment-help-service a few times when I was stuck on a particular accounting problem and just needed another explanation to get through it. Overall I think the degree was worth it, especially for having options outside Louisiana. The internship and practical experience helped a lot too, probably just as much as the degree itself when it came to finding a job.

I’m guessing a lot of our internal audit staff are accounting types. I understand a gal doing what she has to do, but seeing a grown man in this role appears to be the biggest cuck in the room. Yea, we actually make the company money. Go over and sit in the corner. When we get a break, we’ll answer your little questions.

My son at one time thought about being an engineer like you. It’s a great profession and I respect them. It seems to have a lot of men who aren’t very socially adept though. Glad my son chose medicine instead. He also has to have much better people skills than someone like you. It’s a huge difference in income as far as having a family as well.
the best engineers that go on to be in actual management unlike Babytac, have both social skills and understand the finance side.
when you have an engineer that could handle sales as good as the sales people, but can also handle the finance side as good as the finance people.....well you have a very unique and special engineer who usually ends up making crazy money somewhere

but any degree worth getting is going to have quite a bit of math and involve finance of some kind.
i have a minor in math like half of the engineers out there so im prolly the opposite of you. except differential equations...frick that made up imaginary bullshite

BS Acct ‘99. Starting salary 24k plus OT at regional public firm. Then 40k in 2001 after moving to Houston although never got OT again after that.
Got my CPA in 2003 and much better pay and opportunities followed.
Overall I liked most of my LSU Accounting professors and some of the others like Phil Breaux and that really good Sports Management guy. I stayed another semester to get my 150 but didn’t go the Master’s route. No big complaints.

This. I graduated LSU with a BS in EE, and an MBA in data analytics and emerging technology from LSU, work as a SDE manager for a large company. I have two friends that are financial planners, one with an accounting degree and the other with a finance degree. Both make boatloads of money and spend more time golfing than at the office
