How many of you will stop donating in some form either through direct support or the purchase of tickets? I honestly see the university losing millions over this. I’m an alum and season sticker holder but I feel like the University has taken an extreme left turn which will alienate myself and anyone else who isn’t a progressive. My donations, although they aren’t huge, will stop.

LSU had problems worthy of rescinded donations long before this doofus showed up on campus. I pulled mine about a year ago now.

My thread just got whacked. Be careful what you say. Seems like chicken has been bought and paid for.

I see smaller donors ending donations but the larger donors, who are older, will continue to donate just as before because they just can’t bear to see the perks of being a big donor go away. They’ve become entitled and accustomed to the perks and “prestige” that comes with the territory. Their own self interests will always come before the interests of the university they claim to love so much.

If they whack this post, they’ve definitely been bought and paid for. My question was pretty benign.

I’m undecided. Other than tickets all other donations from me are on pause until I can see where this is headed. If it goes in the direction a lot of people fear i will drop all contributions. I'm changing my will this morning but I have other avenues to address an end of life gift if I decide to do it.

I think it’s ridiculous to totally stop supporting the university that you love because of this, or really anything. fricking live your life and go to games and enjoy yourself. If you chose not to donate directly then that’s your choice but even that is only hurting the kids and the university’s stature. I guess I am just one of those that rarely really cares who the President is, let alone a school president.

Let me rephrase, I don’t let who the President is let alone a school president affect my life especially before they even do anything.

Well, that’s dumb.

I sure as shite would like to know who the president of the university that I’m sending thousands of dollars a year to stands on certain issues.

I’m stopping today.

ETA: the comments about not committing to keeping the tigers nickname is enough for me.

So, just take it up the arse, and everything is golden, am i right?

Do you ever stand up and make an accounting of yourself? Anything you’re willing to fight for, and maybe sacrifice?

I always wanted to set up a scholarship for the college of arts and sciences. I will no longer be doing this.

Why would I donate to an institution whose leader's value directly contradict my own? I'll rest easier knowing not a dime of my money is funding his bullshite.

Besides the past CRT stuff, has he said anything specific about his plans at LSU?
