Sure, if the police actually broke protocol. The problem with these situations is that the narrative we get from the victim's side start and end with lies, so they don't have a ton of credibility when they start discussing the actions that lead to the police using force.
Probably the greatest example in the last few years is Alton Sterling. The narrative from his side and the agitators wasn't true - not in the least. Once facts were established, it was clear to any reasonable person that the shooting wasn't just justified but necessary. So, now, when these same agitators start constructing narratives the facts of which they are completely ignorant of, they should not be surprised when no one lends them credibility.
