Say I'm doing the no carb diet but go to the lake and drink 8-12 Michelob Ultras. Have I just ruined the diet? I wanna lose about 15lbs by middle of May but still want to drink some beer at the lake

There is no "no carb diet". There are very low carb diets (Keto) and yes the beers are bad but you already know this.

Stay away from beer and drink whiskey - 0 carbs.

Depends on what you eat. There's only 2.6 carbs per 12oz Ultra. So if you ate zero carbs that day, you'd be fine.

Alcohol wrecks weight loss attempts.

Well that's obviously not ideal. If you are going this weekend I think you'll be ok. If you're going every weekend then not so much.

try to keep your carb intake at 25 grams a day or less

one michelob ultra is 2.5 g of carbs

if you are taking in NO other carbs on the days you're at the lake then you should be okay

Source: i did this for 2 months and lost 20 lbs without working out once

no carbs sucks, but its a quick way to lose

Not really by the carbs but the amount calories you just consumed solely for drinking beer not including food. Doesn't mean you ruined it but it certainly won't help your cause. Cut the calories along with carbs, its that simple. You wont be losing 15 pounds in a month though.

Calories in, calories out. If low carb is the path you choose to get there, so be it. But you don't have to go low carb to lose weight. It just allows you to eat larger amounts and still stay within your allotted calories.

Plug your height and weight int this and keep your activity level as sedentary (unless you're a marathon runner or something). Eat at a 500 calorie deficit of your TDEE and you'll lose 1lb per week.

15lbs in a month isn't happening unless you're massively obese.

12 MU's are a little over 30 carbs. That's not too bad.

No, just keep your protein intake high that day and limit your fat intake as fat oxidation is suppressed.

You won't have wrecked your diet, but you will momentarily stall as your body busies itself with getting rid of the alcohol first.

Haven't you seen that commercial with all those skinny, athletic people drinking Ultra? Of course you can drink it and stay on your diet.

Thanks fellas, I usually drink the old faithful red and white Budweiser but a friend told me to drink the Ultras for the low carb diet.

For that day, yes. Drink some vodka and soda instead. 0 carbs, 70 calories a shot.
