my guess is these are the same sorta cult types that handle snakes in the Ozarks or whatever.
Yes, Baw. The Kentucky Ozarks are known as some of the country's most beautiful small mountains. They have a tiny contingency of church goers that handle snakes , but not enough to even make a hundredth of a percentage point.
A famous Kentuckian, Rick Huckabee, approves of the handling in his church because they use non-venomous snakes.

So, no one visits Lexington? Interesting.

In this day and age it’s so easy to stream things on line. Stream a service, speak to your members but damn if you are breaking this policy and holding huge gatherings the State Police should arrest you on the spot.
I’m tired of radicals in both sides arguing for muh president or not my president, this is the United State of America!!!!!!! just follow the damn CDCs guidelines and let’s get past all of this

Lexington, where the famous Seattle Slew won the Kentucky derby. He was ridden by jockey Kenny "Sky" Walker, and won the triple crown.
Good times.

Not really. Heavy population density in NOLA and a system of government that failed nearly a generation ago.

That’s probably because the Derby is in Louisville

Not in comparison to a real "destination city" like New Orleans.

Yeah, Mardi Gras was one thing, but the church services, man, that’s what did us in.
You’re so incredibly stupid.

That pastor and anyone who attends his service are fricking scum
Posted on 3/21/20 at 9:59 am to WildcatMike
His congregation probably really believes if they get coronavirus, that he could pray it away. I highly doubt this is just a Louisiana thing, if you look around every state I am sure there is some holier than thou mother fricker doing the same shite.
And why are people singling out Louisianaians as if we are all are ignoring this and living our lives as if we don't care about spreading this around?
For what I see, the majority of the people are taking this serious. When I went to the store last week I noticed that people were moving faster.. They were getting the shite they needed and checking out.. Not looking around, stopping to talk to people, etc.
I see a lot of people outside, but it seems like everyone is keeping a distance.
People see that it is spreading fast in the New Orleans area, that is because of Mardi Gras, which was before people in the US started taking action. It has nothing to do with "how Louisiana people are".
Don't judge the whole fricking state because some idiot pastor things the power of the lord will save him and his flock,

Don’t hate on Andy. He’s hardcore. He singled out the Pike County Bingo Hall when they tried to stay open.

New Orleans population- 390,000; annual visitors- 18.51 million visitors in 2018.
Lexington population 325,000; annual visitors - ______.
I can't find any tourism numbers. I can only find info like "media impressions" and "social posts". How many people visit Lexington annually?
For reference, NYC gets 65 million visitors annually. Philly gets 39.7 million. Miami 9.5 million.

I'm from the area where this church is located. That "pastor" has about a 3500 sq ft house behind the church. Service to the Lord seems to be paying fairly well.

Mardi Gras and Southern European culture of greeting way more cases than that church

Kentucky State Police are too busy fleecing motorists to worry about some mystery virus.
I've never seen so many cops out for "safety".

You better hope it isn't worse on inbreds than the regular population.
BTW, is YOUR pastor using this time to collect snakes for his next sermon?

Why in the Sam Hell is this pastor insisting having church service
1) Well, there was this thing called Mardi Gras. But no one shut that down
2) Then theres this thing called the 1st Amendment. You have no legal standing to shut him down
3) No elected official is going to order LEO to drag people out of a church, and have that video shown on YouTube for the rest of their term
