You're being sarcastic but my son is a big fan.
Before we knock our kids' taste in music, at his age alot of us idolized a dudes who called for killing of cops(Ice T & NWA) and another group who shoved dildos in women on stage during shows and had hits like
"We want some Pussy"(2 Live Crew).
So, while I don't care for the music he listens to at 14 yrs old, I stop short of being overly critical b/c it could be worse.

How sad is it that Taylor Swift is the only one of these I’ve ever heard of?

YoungBoy was raised mainly by his maternal grandmother due to his father being sentenced to 55 years in prison.
He dropped out of ninth grade and told his mom he wanted to focus on his music career and was soon arrested for robbery and sent to a detention center in Tallulah, Louisiana. While there, he began writing lyrics for his debut project.
After he was released from the detention center, Gaulden's grandmother died of heart failure and Gaulden moved in with his friend and fellow Baton Rouge rapper, NBA 3Three (also known as OG 3Three). The two then used acts of criminality to begin to pay for studio time.
And (We the people) are gonna make him rich... While Mom and Pop go to work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day just to scratch through life... only to end up with nothing.
We really live in a fricked up world today...

Those tend to be the two pathways that rappers, with his past, end up going down.

LOL @ not having heard of Posty,
At least this guy is a really talented musician and producer in the studio.
Eilish and Youngboy are gimmicks.

It's so good that the black youths look to him, and others like him, as a role model.
Wholesome.

Youngboy gonna be making FAT stacks, he's worked hard for it. Well deserved.
Hard work and reaping the benefits therefrom is only lauded on this board if it's accomplished by ... certain types of individuals.

Hard work would have been getting a real job to pay for studio time, not stealing

Good for her...... still don't understand what he is saying. "Rappers" in the 80's were far more talented than this thug.
