Their Ghost color scheme was sweet.

For real. I’m thoroughly excited that this is the kind of stuff that a third of my income goes to.

Law enforcement uniforms and vehicles used to be intentionally designed to stand out to better enable them to “protect and serve” their communities. Now, uniforms are either near plain clothes or SWAT-esque, and vehicles are as “stealth” as possible.

I like the one with the jet on top to catch those speeders going really fast.

They really need the "Collect and Serve" LSP motto displayed prominently.

I can recently attest that both Virginia and Kentucky State Police use Silver Chevy Tahoe's with their state insignia on them. Also, Virginia State Police are absolute pricks. I wanted to fight that guy, he was that much of a 5' 5" douche.

I always thought the mississippi taxpayers' paint scheme was sharp, although I'm not one to get rock hard over the police state.

I agree with this. Millions of tax dollars spent on stuff like this. Same as building eye popping govt buildings.

I think it should be illegal for cop cars to be anything but white with some kind of stripe on the hood.

This. There is a law that says you can’t work traffic enforcement in an unmarked vehicle.

No there isn’t.

I suppose the obvious guess would maybe to be more discreet in their hunt for speeders, but that most obvious guess ironically seems to be the least likely to make good sense.
what other reason is there to be in a "stealth mode" vehicle working traffic?
I mean I get if you're undercover and tailing a known suspect and don't want to tip your hand.
but just chilling along Hwy 90 waiting to pop somebody, being in stealth serves no other purpose than to increase your chances of writing a ticket.
I can tell you in my hometown when a Deputy is parked in front of the church, people actually obey the 25mph speed limit and the stop sign at the bridge.
he's not even paying any attention to the road most of the time, just parked in the shade chilling. probably writes zero tickets most days he's there.
but every now and then, they send a guy down in one of those stealth ones and they get 10-12 in a day or two.
people are driving (and acting) much safer with the fully marked dude out in the open. which should be the goal.
but when the one you can't see comes, they light people up left and right because nobody drives 25mph through there on a normal day, even though there is an Elementary School 2 blocks away.
so which one is actually "protecting and serving"?
which one is actually making the streets safer?
hint: it's not the guy racking up on writing tickets.
the only thing the stealth guy is accomplishing in bringing in more revenue.

there should be one that allows them to write traffic tickets if they happen to see something (like if a dude blows buy them at 40 over on the interstate), but I don't think they should be allowed to use that for the purposes of working traffic.

LSP makes them all look like they’re running in slow motion!

Ghost units are badass. They should all be like this and catch more law breakers
