For sure. Those Saturdays are the only time people who have moved away are wishing they were back in Louisiana. The mild winters are nice but getting four seasons would be nice. Sure Louisiana gets four but fall and spring are very brief. Especially fall.

I’m sure some people may have an obligation for whatever reason.

Many many people have a desire to though.

So I get that you say “I have no obligation to live by my family”

Not many people probably do. But lots of people have a desire to, which impacts their decisions.

Did not read the thread at all, but the only place I would REALSTICALLY move is somewhere near the gulf coast in Alabama or Florida panhandle.

I don’t care about the storms or heat. I would look for better leadership, better use of funds, and good to great public schools
