These same people who work a total of 80-90 hours combined a week plus take their kids to school and sport will be behind a person with an EBT card who is getting ribeyes and I know these folks dont have a job.
How is that even fair?
I agree, but this argument is as old as food stamps themselves. Also, I doubt that this new law would disqualify ribeyes.
ETA: I doubt this passes after the left gets finished screaming about it being racist.

Guy, I am not talking in specifics. Ribeye was just an example although EBT users should be relegated to sirloins.
You work, you eat what you want.
You eat on me, you eat what I allow.
I wouldnt put anything as impossible the next 4 years. Clearly changes are coming and some the minorities are going to hate and they need to happen.
Enough is enough.

I'm not sure how it would be racist is there are just as many white people getting the EBT money.

Nearly 10 percent of purchases goes to sweetened drinks. It's the second largest charge behind meats. It's greater than fruits, vegetables, beans, bread, etc.

About 40 cents of every food purchase dollar
was spent on basic items like meat, fruits,
vegetables, milk, eggs, and bread.
• Another 20 cents was spent on sweetened
drinks, desserts, salty snacks, candy, and sugar.
• The remaining 40 cents was spent on a variety of
items such as cereal, prepared foods, other dairy
products, rice, beans, and other cooking
ingredients.

Can we limit the amount of crawfish one can buy? Maybe just one three lb special with two crab clusters per recipient per month, instead of daily.

Because poor whites dont count.
Where have you been?
Its like life has not registered to some of you people.
White people have been shite on for damn near 16 years now, especially white men.

The cool part of gov cheese rules is there’s always a workaround.

Not saying I'm opposed to this but there's no way the junk food industry will let this happen. Its been proposed for decades both on state and national levels. Pepsico, Nestlé, General Mills, you name it. They will have lawyers and lobbyists all over this like white on rice, which most EBT users don't buy much of.

Not all the time, but A LOT of the time, I see EBT consumers walk to a car nicer than mine in the parking lot. Often parked in a handicap space.

Why are they able to buy boiled crawfish

They are not supposed to. Just like they are not supposed to be able to by cooked pizza.
But the scam is they buy it "raw" and then the cooking part is free.

Equality without equal work dude.

I have observed the same. Sometimes, they even park in the Pharmacy pick up spot to do their grocery shopping.

She stood in line to get her goods, the amount of velvetta like logs of cheese she got was staggering. She brought us some of her excess, it was not really a food item, and it was enough to feed a family for a month of nothing but 'cheese' I am all for making sure we have no waste, but no one should be subjected to that stuff.

Your aunt did it, why shouldnt everone else have to suffer to get to end goal?
Its bullshite to me everyone wants an easier road. It really make mad. No one wants to work hard and invest anymore. They just want it handed over to them. Makes me sick.

Make a rule where you can only buy vegetables, meats, and fruit, and water.

It won’t pass after politicians hear from Coca-Cola, M&M Mars, Frito-lays, Nabisco not to mention Wal Mart and Circle K because those companies don’t want to lose the sales!!!
Food Stamps at their heart are a corporate subsidy, both from the purchasing power they generate and subsidizing the labor model.

None of this matters nearly as much as what is causes and the cost associated with that, is 1000x more than any money they spent on coca cola.
Diabetes. The gift that keeps on earning.
So, hypothetically speaking, if we regulated everything used by EBT money and made them buy sugarless foods/drink we would actually be adding to their lives. The government doesnt want to do this, they already dont like the population high.
Just think about it for awhile and youll come to the same conclusion.
Short Money Food = short term life expectancy = Medical bills

Good. I'm tired of seeing obese people buying cart loads of oreos, chips, etc. all with taxpayer money. Another sham like DEI that needs to end.
