the head shaving is pretty cruel. Just take the phone away indefinitely and ground your kid. And not bullshite grounding. A real grounding. My pop didn't even let me have a radio in my damn room. Books only.

I got a few of these, and I thought twice about pulling the really dumb shite in the future.
Im not judging that dude without knowing the entire situation. These are extreme consequences, but they may be warranted by the child's behavior.

The constant is "you think you grown". I hear that at least 3 times a week in conversations between black kids at school. We're talking 12-14 year olds. I've also heard it said to black kids by parents in multiple parent conferences. White equivalent "too big for your britches"?

And there you have it. This is how you effectively destroy any hope that child may have had at finding a life. I can’t even imagine the meds that kid will be on in the not too distant future, be they prescribed or self medicated. Where’s the problem? There’s the problem. Take a good look.

Yeah, that is very much overboard. My father knew this old black man who was probably the nicest person you would ever meet. One day he gets a call from his youngest son who was not so little anymore. The kid had gotten arrested for something and had to spend a day or two in jail. The man called my father for some help in getting bail together and my Dad helped him out.
M Dad ten drove the man to central lock up, and drove him and his son home. As soon as he got home this older gentleman who could not have been more than maybe 160-170 lbs beat the living shite out of his son who had to weigh 200+ lbs......kid never got in trouble again
Old man apologized to my Dad for having to witness it, but said whatever I did to him, it's 10X worse on the streets and in prison. My Dad never asked for the money.

The consequences of life can be fatal. Some humans are stubborn. Is beating that lesson into a teenager that bad?
Personally, I think the head shaving was more harsh than the arse whooping.

There is a little more to the story than is featured on liveleak. The girl had gotten into a fight at school a couple of days earlier and this is how the POS decided to punish her. He isn’t her father. I’ve heard that he is the mom’s live-in boyfriend and I’ve heard that he’s her brother. I’m not sure which is true. I’m pretty certain that he has a long history of criminal offenses and is generally a degenerate and a waste of oxygen. What he did goes completely beyond scolding a child. No fourteen-year-old should ever be hit that hard with a belt, and definitely not 50+ times. The shaving of the head? WTF is this? Post-war France? And the comments about her hygiene were disguising. It makes me feel like there is a possibility that she has been molested by this guy too. Edited to include... this is what I have been told by several people, and not personal knowledge
