You guys clearly have no idea whats happening. The opioid pandemic is from prescription drugs.

The young ones dying are buying what they think is a legit prescribed pill on the black market. Just like kids do with addy. It was so easy to find pills and people didnt question them because, hey doctors and shite give them out.

This isnt necessarily some 16 year old deciding they are just going to shoot up heroin and then dies.

Other people get to the point of shooting up because the pills become very expensive and they need something more potent.

I forget who showed that video of seattle, a lot of those junkies just lined the streets free basing fentanyl.

This is a tough one, its killing people by the hundreds of thousands now.

This isnt the same thing as the nonsensical attack on marijuana.

i like this. all of these super addictive drugs that in almost every case ruin someones life should carry life sentences for the dealer. Not only do they ruin the addicts life, but also those around them.

I’ll bet every dollar in my bank account that no one in the history of this country has overdosed from fent by taking a pill they got from a brick and mortar store.

Legalize all drugs; save lives.

When "small government conservatives" all have family members on the payroll of sheriff and state prison systems..

Just legalize "clean" versions of the drugs, don't even add a special tax. Very few people will want fentanyl in a free market.

Bull shite. Even if dealers are lacing weed with fentanyl (they aren’t) lighting it on fire kills the potency. It wouldn’t do anything

Mar 7, 2022 · Officials in Vermont and Connecticut issued statements and warnings to let people know marijuana laced with fentanyl is causing overdoses in their regions.

You moron. Even if that is true (which I seriously doubt it), what about the part that’s touching your lips, hmmmm? Is it burning????? Or the smoke and air moving through as you inhale it into your lungs??? Ya think that might pick up some of the drug, too?????

Look, I abhor fentanyl and opioids, but this take is just ridiculous

Do you think people are laying all their weed out and then sprinkling a little fentanyl on each little nugget or something? That’s shite like my aunt reads off Facebook.

I mean, just think about the logistics of it. You’ve got tons of weed and then some fentanyl, because you are Crazy Dealer McStrawman. But for this thought exercise, whatever.

So what, you are gonna take a brick or whatever of fentanyl, grind it all up, and then go put a pinch on all your bud like some kind of overdose fairy?

To what end? Does fentanyl even survive being burned?

What would the point of putting fentanyl on weed be?

If you don't know where you're getting your smoke from. If you grow your own, no worries.

Tell that to all those people smoking fentanyl.

I don't want to come across as a fearmonger but the issue with weed and other drugs that making polydrugs with fentanyl don't really make much sense is cross-contamination. That issue is amplified due to the high potency of fentanyl making cross-contamination very easy and potentially quite serious with not a lot more than trace amounts. When a couple of milligrams move into the lethal range (especially for people with no tolerance) cross-contamination becomes a real issue.

unpopular opinion here but life sentences for drug dealing is kind of crazy to me.

I don't do drugs. I know they ruin lives. But people seek the drug dealers. The drug dealers are not kicking down doors and forcing people to buy the shite.

Supply side is not the issue. Demand side is the issue.

It's a start.

I'd rather immediate death penalty however.

don’t think weed is being laced with fentanyl, intentionally at least.

I deal with a shite ton of street people in my job and the ones that are coherent say it's 100% intentional, some dumb frick got the idea that it can be used as a 'preservative' from what I've heard. But really that's what they were told by their dealer who's probably trying to justify it by spouting some bullshite.

In reality They'll do anything to get you hooked. They'll try anything to get you hooked. They don't give a frick about anything else.

Grow your own or buy it from a dispensary.
