Years ago, Louisiana had a mandatory sentence of 99 years for heroin possession with intent to distribute and we very rarely saw heroin in this state. Some fools changed that law and we had numerous cases of heroin deaths.
Now people want to start the same cycle over this dangerous drug.
We keep chasing our tails.
Hopefully, we will have the guts to make something work.

I’m against this… personal responsibility needs to come into play… the dealer most of the time not aware Fentanyl is mixed with the drugs

Yeah it was on the books… rarely ever use… more of scare tactic than anything.. I know and I’m in kin to plenty of people that caught heroin charges in the 90’s

bullshite. Even if dealers are lacing weed with fentanyl (they aren’t) lighting it on fire kills the potency. It wouldn’t do anything

You moron. Even if that is true (which I seriously doubt it), what about the part that’s touching your lips, hmmmm? Is it burning????? Or the smoke and air moving through as you inhale it into your lungs??? Ya think that might pick up some of the drug, too?????

Edit: if you’re just trolling and being funny, I apologize… carry on.

I mean you kinda proving my point… you can’t overdose on fentanyl unless you doing hard drugs… this a transaction between two non-law abiding citizens… dealers offer users no guarantee

It’s used as a cut but also used to make fake pain pills, fake other pilled or sold as heroin. That’s part of the reasons there are so many od’s.

Not the case had a friends son take what he thought was a Xanax purchased from a classmate and it killed the kid. The classmate was charged with second degree murder

You missed the part of my statement that says dealers make no guarantees… although sad about your friend’s son… it’s a inherited risk of buying drugs

How are crackheads and gangbangers getting their hands on it? Serious and dumb question. This isn't some "made in the bathtub" drug, like meth (I assume).

My knee-jerk is "let them distribute" and kill off all of the junkies, the dealers included. Self-sabotage.

I don’t think weed is being laced with fentanyl, intentionally at least.

I think it started with labs in China but read the Mexican cartels are pretty involved now. They probably get it from China.
