it's been nothing but rain all day today

I fear everything is still going to be quite damp when the freezing temps eventually make it here to CenLA

I don't think we will sniff freezing temps down here in Houma, but who knows.

Duke, has this last GFS model run shown 3 separate events for DFW across all of next week every time?? I feel like the Thursday* event now being shown wasn't there earlier...

Wasn't looking that close but I'd certainly believe it. Pacific is going to throwing plenty of disturbances into the big trough over the east.

They'll ride through the Rockies, a new surface low will form roughly in southern Texas and pull NE. This is the pattern for the next 10 days or so. You'll get some snow, a break, and then more snow until it turns back into rain as things moderate.

DFW should be close enough to the cold to keep it primarily snow, but it's going to be cold as all frick too.

The Thursday prediction just popped up today. Of course, we got a lot less than predicted last night thankfully. Monday is still looking like a good snow event for us in DFW.

Yeah it looks like a good chance of freezing rain and snow in cenla. I am just hoping we don’t lose power or my pipes freeze and bust. Hasn’t been as cold as they are predicting here in a long time

I have to ask, am I the only one who thinks cherry limeades are overrated?

Sonic! Mother fricker. No! Check that. Meet me behind the nearest Fire House. I prefer their Cherry Limeades because I am going to enjoy one right after I give you your comeuppance.

Does that say you need to put 80 psi in your tires? That’s got to feel like riding on stone tires.

The southern half of the Ark-La-Tex is now under Winter Weather Advisory from midnight to noon 2/12/21 for possible freezing rain.

Any word on winds with this pushing through? It’s been a pleasant surprise that the winds are whipping while it’s been in the 20s here but it would suck if they pick back up when it’s 8°.

Firehouse's cherry limeade is fantastic, I just don't like Sonic's.

For some areas, mainly our northernmost Louisiana parishes and southern Misssissippi counties, the rain and cold temperatures will align enough to potentially have some winter precipitation (mainly freezing rain/sleet mix) late Monday night into Tuesday morning. The northshore areas could also see some wintery mix of precipitation during the early morning hours Tuesday as well. Despite the chance for winter precipitation, we are not expecting any impacts or impactful accumulation.

Does he mean no accumulation in northern counties or just the north shore?

Hell we already have ice on trees here in Ms

Whelp, North AL is officially on the board with freezing rain officially in the forecast for the first time. Sunday seems to be the best shot at problems. Let the wiping out of the grocery stores commence!
