The wind would make a 10 degree day feel horrible.
10 degrees with the sun out and no wind at all is almost tolerable.
Mix it some wind, and it will feel like knives going through you

Was/Is very icy this morning in Dallas. Took the dog for a walk and we made it about 200 feet before both of us started slipping. He looked at me with a WTF look and we turned around. He ran around in the backyard a bit instead

Not doing anything until it warms up and this ice melts (should warm up around noon)

Yeah, Dallas got the light freezing rain last night. We missed it north of 635. Looks like we will just stay in the 20s until Sunday except for a brief rise above freezing tomorrow. Still calling for a good amount of snow on Monday.

My Lakehouse looks like it got a lot of freezing rain last night.

Thunder woke me up around 1 this morning. Scared the shite out of me. I’m an idiot so I drove to work knowing no one else will be here. Little Rock got more sleet than anything. But still had to deal with idiots going way faster than they should on the roads.

Same, I’m in little rock and the thunder was loud! Now to begin our day of AMI learning with my oldest because they can’t just let them have a day off. Time to make cinnamon rolls and a lot of coffee! The newborn is being the best behaved of the day so far.

I think the forecasters are really underestimating this whole system. Got about 3-4 inches rain last night and it’s supposed to be 36-37 this morning according to my phone yet it’s been 32 degrees on my dash for an hour

I’m 39 and pretty sure I don’t remember it being 6 degrees here in Little Rock.

Single digits are relatively rare anywhere in the South. I'm *ahem* a little older than you and I can only recall a handful of times down here in Louisiana even in the mid/lower teens.

I’m supposed to drive to Dallas today from Houston. Looking like that’s not possible?

It shouldn’t be an issue. The roads were treated and we got only light freezing rain. Just make sure you’re gone before Monday.

My dad told me that in 1980 or 81 is when the Arkansas river in Little Rock froze over. Cold never use to bother me, but these days, I’m way over it.
