How you feeling about temps and potential ice for the MS delta area particularly around the HWY 82 corridor

You're going to be well below freezing a night or two I think. If you get some ice or snow on the ground, it'll be colder longer.

The ice storm potential is there for basically all of SEC country. It's still very difficult to say exactly where, too many moving parts to make more than an educated guess. My guess right now is north of I20. East Texas, Arkansas, North LA, North MS, W Tennessee ect. Cold air like this is tricky AF though, and this could easily bust with more ice to the south.

The Model A's run cooler on straight water so I have to drain and add antifreeze when it gets below 20.

Euro has cold break in Monday/Tuesday for SELA. Western LA and NE LA get some ice on Tuesday.

I’ve checked my Wunderground a few times daily and it seems to change by the hour

Right now Monday and Monday night looks to be sleet and snow mixed. This would have made for an interesting planning of Mardi Gras parades

Trying to firm up travel plans for Sunday and just got off the phone with a dispatcher. The word from our WX people is the models are so divergent they can't form an accurate forecast beyond 72 hrs. Appears the European and another model are lagging in forecasting low level frigid air.

So you’re thinking Dallas is getting the ice storm? Ugh

Could but Dallas is far enough west where it might just be cold enough aloft to be all snow. There's going to be a couple of winter storms across the SE and for some it's going to be an ice storm but the range of where for the ice is still broad.

When you’re feeling less lazy it’s probably time for the deep dive. I just got 2 push notifications about snow/sleet and temps. Once those go out, people start the panic.

Weather Underground says snow for the south on Monday, all the way from Houston to SELA.

I've got to think they are heavy on the EURO since it just gave us frozen stuff on the 12z run and now they change their forecast for that time.

They have also been creeping their temps down for the Sunday and Monday.
