LA is a victim of corruption and bad policy making.

I'm old enough to remember Mississippi being the worst on all these lists. Do better Louisiana.

When you average in places like Ferriday, North Baton Rouge, the 9th ward, Shreveport..... It kinda pulls the average down.

And we have what? The most O&G in the entire country, along with Texas and Alaska? It’s a complete shame that we have such poverty in such a rich natural resource state. We’re like Africa of the US. Rich in resources, yet very poor, and discombobulated.

Yes Louisiana is poor and will continue to get poorer.
But for many, gumbo and LSU football make up for it

If you can hang around this OT Lounge for a few decades and come away thinking anything other than Louisiana is poor and dumb, I question how poor and dumb you are.

I’m an inbred Texan bro. I fled Iowa long ago. Recognized quite early that slovenly scabs who don’t know how to cook anything were not my cut of jib.
