What percentage have you driven on?

My estimate is maybe 5% (3,000 miles).

I have seen Louisiana is home to 4 of the top 5 longest bridges in the US.

1. Lake Pontchartrain Causeway (LA) - 24 miles
2. Manchac Swamp Bridge (LA) - 23 miles
3. Atchafalaya Basin Bridge (LA) - 18 miles
4. Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (VA) - 17 miles
5. I-10 Bonnet Carré Spillway Bridge (LA) - 11 miles

Louisiana has some of the most poorly-funded roads in the entire country. I drove there last weekend to visit family in Lafayette and I was astounded at how fricking awful the roads were. The roads looked like they were all fricked up by a magnitude 10 earthquake.

I’ve probably been over 80%+.

Dad’s family was from north east and mom’s was from north west. Dad also was a supervisor with both dot and dotd building/maintaining state highway projects pretty much from BR to LC and north to the AR line.

Later when he quit the state and worked for Citgo we moved to Metairie where he was in charge of distribution for the East and had a bunch of truck drivers he managed. With him having 9 siblings we went every direction from NOLA visiting family.

Add in we were really active outdoors both hunting and fishing, plus an uncle with wildlife and fisheries department to meet up in all the backwater/backwoods places checking on hotspot rumors.

Lots and lots of roads I have been over, driving on the railroad tracks wouldn’t be very much different than 1/3 of roads.

I've driven every mile of I-20, I-49, I-10, highway 1 SHV to Arkansas, Hwy 90 from Laffayette to Nola, Causeway, Nola to Venice, Nola to Delacroix, BR to Houma, Laffy to Pecan Island, Hwy 82 from TX to Pecan Island, 171 from Shv to Lake Chuck, Shv to North Webster parish, Br to Angola, I-10 to Lake Fausse st park, Lake Chuck to Big Lake, Laffy to Cypremore Pt, Hwy 90 to Grand Isle, Hwy 90 to Dularge, Hwy 90 to Dulac, 190 from I-49 to 415, 71 Alex to 190

Only place I've never been to is north of Monroe, btwn Alex and Monroe, and north of Mandeville, and Eunice-Kinder-Oakdale

I'm convinced land between not counting Ruston-Monroe-Vicksburg-Natchez-Alexandria doesn't actually exist and no people actually live there.

35K. Work for Acadian ambulance and you’ll see south LA up to Alec. Every nook and cranny you didnt want to see.

Probably been hunting or fishing in every part of the state except the west side north of sulphur up to Shreveport.

I’ve driven on every inch of interstate in Louisiana

If I’m ever bored enough to put a gun in my mouth I might chart every mile on every road but ain’t nobody got time for that.

If you take I-55/10 all the way to or from New Orleans it makes this entire bridge system 34 miles long. You take the bridge ramp from the Manchac Swamp Bridge to the Bonnet Carrie Bridge without ever touching solid ground. Or vice versa. If you take I-55/10/310 it’s 39 miles of consecutive bridge.
