I wonder if the LC area has been able to report hospital data the last few days? I’m sure they have their hands full over there

DO people still follow these daily numbers besides those with an interest to use them for an agenda? Given what we now know about the test sensitivity making positives almost worthless, what exactly does any of this tell us?

Does anyone even track the details around the deaths? Like is it possible some of those 34 received a positive result 3 months ago with only a minute viral load at the time?

The hospitals really don’t make sense considering...
1. They only used the word most for the cases collected and didn’t provide the percentage which means its closer to 50% than 99%
2. The % of <29 is actually a little higher than normal

So more old cases + more cases for younger people (very vast majority of which do not require hospital care) = the most hospitalizations in a 24 hour period in a long time.

That equation smells of BS

I’m wondering if hospitalizations are nursing home residents from hurricane hit areas that couldn’t be transferred into new facilities until the new facility has a bed ready on the Covid hall

His next excuse will be something about having to extend 2 more weeks to make sure all the out of state Lineman Teams didn’t re-infect the state and start a massive spread by driving all over the areas affected by Laura.

Would not be shocked one single bit.

Read an article over the weekend that they were planning to transfer all patients to other hospitals this week. The swing in hospitalizations could simply be as a result of the patients being in-transit when the counts were done; or they were on LC's books which were unreported yesterday and are now on the new hospital's books today.

Or it could be more BS adjustments

If 91% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread does that mean we aren't paying contact tracers $23/hr with unlimited ot anymore?

hospitals have room...probably admitting patients they wouldn't have a month ago. They see the opportunity to make $$

Unfortunately the talking point is going to be that Louisiana is back to number 1 in cases per 100,000 people. Which of course is a bullshite stat if you are testing more than most............but he is going to say it.

It just doesn’t make any sense from a stat standpoint

We rounded those people up and put them back in the hospital.

I keep waiting for John Bell Smacker to update us on the status of those much needed ventilators he ordered at taxpayers expense.
