30,855 active cases
2,154 deaths
20,316 (recovered as of 5/02)

8,385 Active cases based on data provided. Enter assumptions

Recovered data is 6 days old. 14 days from 5/02 is 4/18. New cases:
4/18 - 462; 4/19 - 348; 4/20 - 595; 4/21 - 331; 4/22 - 404; 4/23 - 481

5,764 Active cases
1,359 in Hospitals
4,405 Conservative estimate of cases not in hospitals

Obligatory: The 14 day guidelines are given by ldh and based on when the patient tests positive. The information that we have readily available is when the positive test result is known, not when the test was administered. In addition, the date of the onset of symptoms does not matter either.

Interesting note: If you add the new cases from 4/25 through 5/08 (14 days), you get 4,715 cases. 7,737 from 4/18 - 5/08 (21 days)

Those are where the private prisons are. Some are ICE detention centers.

Not going to do that because over half the cases in the last week have been in prisons.

Several prisons in Region 2 (including Angola), which flattened out significantly after looking like it would have a curve similar to Region 1.

With a little bit of sleuthing you can somewhat figure it out in some locations using the tract case map.

Agree. You have to assume there are at least 2k that fit these #s since they recently started doing mass testing at these facilities regardless of symptoms. That would put less than 2.5k in the community

At this point the best metrics we should track are State budget deficit And federal dollars coming in.
