FL is seeing 2k+ cases a day

A 2k "case" day in Florida is like a 475 case day in Louisiana.

129 of the new cases reported today are from the first week of April.

Did they also include all of the negative tests from those batches? Adding 129 positives but not all the negatives is going to skew the % positive a good bit.

I no longer trust or care what the positive numbers are from the state. If they continue to add months old results to the daily counts then the entire system of reporting of positive case is flawed and invalid.

Hospitalizations are the only numbers that really matter. I think no matter what what we do it looks there will always be around a 4-5% positive rate.

lets move on and get back to normal.

Time again for a rolling average of last 30 days and "lifetime" comparison to show how insignificant any of these increases are:

Sorry, but AL hospitalizations have been pretty flat. A slight, gradual rise maybe, but no spike. And deaths are on the decline. Hospitalizations in Mobile and Huntsville for Covid are basically non-existent right now. If it weren't for Montgomery the state would be doing great. And the situation in Montgomery is not something I am going to get into here..

Are other states having these dumb arse backlogs on a regular basis like we seem to be having???

MS reported 23 COVD-19 deaths today. With this footnote:
*16 confirmed COVID-19 related deaths between May 23 and June 11 were identified from death certificate reports.

Sorry Bud, but that headline is misleading at best. All of last week and the week before, AL was in the mid 600s for Covid hospitalizations. You can look at it on the Bama Tracker twitter feed if you are interested.

Co-worker of mine just got in a car wreck the other day. No idea, why driving is still legal right now.

So is the 'real' positive rate is 6.3%? (928-139)/12504.

Why do you think all those graphs dip and trend downward?

The slow open is making it go back up.

It'll be real interesting to see your rolling averages come September, let's see them then.

I play both sides of the COVID-19 argument, but the straight deniers are going to have a hard time come fall, just sayin.

Home or hospitalized?

Symptomatic or no?

If having symptoms, hope they're better soon; if no symptoms, I hope they stay that way.
