Sigh. My region (4) has 568 available beds and 41 available icu beds. I'm not worried by increasing cases.

Kid had a get together with friends from college -- their parents were fine with them coming and I was fine having them here. Great time was had by all. Sorry for those who live in fear unnecessarily (as well as genuinely sorry for those who have issues that necessitate that they hunker down).

Hope you had a good 4th OP!

I’m glad you clarified that they didn’t update yesterday because I was scared you died and that made me sad.

ETA
Saw it was for 2 days. Thanks.

The death rate is going down.

Sadly this is not being reported in the MSM.

So those 10 deaths .. while awful, that's over 2 days .. so an average of 5/d. I mean that's less than it has been.

Would have assumed we would have seen a larger bump in tests and positives since they didn't report yesterday.

Any reliable front line reports out there on if this wave of hospitalizations is more/less/same degree of sickness upon administration as the March influx?

I wish I had some to offer — all I’ve heard/read is that walk in clinic wait times to be tested are insane. And some places are back to testing only with symptoms.

This is speaking of the Lafayette area. Worries me if we’re sick with something other than this and need a walk in visit — I wonder if they’d take someone sick before someone without symptoms but there for a test??

Two days with a positivity rate above 10% and a large increase in hospitalizations. JBE just came.

Anyone with half a brain would have know the death rate would go down once they started testing more and more people.

More people tested the more confirmed cases. The more confirmed cases the lower the death rate. People were not dying in record numbers in the USA.

Couldn’t you just see your GP if sick?
