Jefferson is the weird one in that it was in that first spike with NOLA. Now it’s holding its own in the 2nd wave as well. Lafayette, Lake Charles, etc...are all in their first wave. EBR looking like 2 equal waves (neither as big as Nola’s 1st).

Nola had some huge testing numbers a month or so ago. Not sure if the state moved some of those tests to other parishes when the others were spiking.

It would be about 1550 or so each day which isn't anywhere near the largest increase on a given day.
It actually is looking good because that is down from the previous 5 days.

Get off the % positive bandwagon for now. The largest health care group in the state, Ochsner, is only testing symptomatic cases right now. That is going to skew the numbers towards a higher % positive.
1500 per day is much better than 2k. If masks are working we should see the number of cases start to trend down in the next week.

People have to actually wear them. A mandate without broad compliance does no good.

When we were testing 20,000+ and anyone and everyone who may have come into contact with a covid positive you were correct. Now we are only screening symptomatic patients. That has to skew the numbers.

When did this become the case? Because someone in my office just got tested last week after being exposed to a positive case, but was showing no symptoms.
