Yep, also impossible to say its not.

Just too early to tell right now. A week or two of numbers going down is what everyone needs to see.

This. I don't know that he knows it's fabricated but his near yelling on tv does nothing to calm The Karens or anyone.

Of course.

Just as

is.

But I'm going to go with the fact that some have gotten off .. and statistically it's more likely that "some" have gotten off than "none".

Watch the press briefings. Dr. Fauci said the thing to look at if you want to see the mitigation working is look at number of cases per day. That's what you will see impacted first. Then hospitalization. Then intensive care. Then deaths. Deaths will be the last thing to slow down

As things stand today, that's probably the worst data point of them all

Are these numbers inaccurate too? I am tainted by Mobiles ridiculous numbers, 100 infected people my arse. Hospitals were filing up with zero cases.

Death toll grossly understated

As far as trickle down effect goes, it's the first place you would start. as opposed to looking at new deaths. That's my point

That'd be true, if we actually knew the number of new cases. In real time. We don't.
The closest thing we have to real time are vents and hospitalizations.

What is more indicative of the effects of the shelter in place working?

1) The number of new cases decreasing daily over a period of time

OR

2) The number of deaths decreasing, with no telling of how long the person who died has 1) had the virus 2) When they got it 3) any underlying conditions

That is assuming testing is widespread and consistent which it isn’t. Hospitalized, ICU, Vented and deaths are far more accurate than cases.

Problem is that the turn around on the drive through tests is 2 weeks plus. While hospital test are now turning around within a day. Some of this is double positives. Some of these are tests from multiple days lumped together. In a week or so we will have more accurate numbers as the ability to quick test increases and the the labs catch up.

Deaths are also not in real time. The EBR coroner was on 20 a few days ago, the state went from 14 to 22 for EBR today.

Closest real time stat is hospitalizations and ventilations. Those are being reported by hospitals daily.

It's either that or y'all don't really care if you pass it on as long as you are sure you won't die from it.

This is a horrible way to look at the data. Some of these cases being newly counted are weeks old.

You can eliminate new cases by not testing.

No way to hide new deaths.
